1. Edit the Page Design
2. Click the White Wrench of the Business widget
3. Apply in the necessary widget settings like which Categories of Business do you want to display on this page
4. Save the widget
5. Publish the Page

• Focus first on creating good Categories that will shape the filtering and sorting of all of the Businesses in your Business Directory (Super Users build categories) examples:
  • Blue Star Energy Efficient
  • City Supported Business
  • Historic Business
•  When building each business, open the grey banner labeled "show all options" > optional Business Settings> and select at least 1 category 
• If using images for the each business thumbnail load the images into your Image Library at the exact same size and shape

1. Go to "Site Content" > Business Directory
2. Click "Add Business"
3. Fill in all of the relevant fields
4. Open the "show all options" banner > "Optional Business Settings"
5. Apply a Category to the Business entry
6. Publish

Notice above the "Categories" drop down at the top of this page the words: "Have a Business? Submit your Business Online   - This allows a site visitor to submit content about their business to your CMS so that you can post it on your page. 

This is here due to a System Variable called "Business Directory Submission" that can be enabled (TRUE/FALSE) on or off by Super Users.

The business content is not published on your page until someone publishes the submission in the backend of the Business Directory Component.

Business Directory List View-

Explanation and Value Options- This sets the designated page for the Business Directory front end list page.

Meaning-

• Most clients have a page in their Pages Component labeled "Business Directory List"
• The variable is set to that page (?navid=##) 
• When a site visitor clicks on a business and scroll to the end of that content- the website uses a link (Return to full list>>) to drop them back at the "designated page for the Business Directory front end list page"

Business Directory Submission-

Explanation and Value Options- Enable/Disable Business Directory Submission feature.

Meaning- 

• Enable this (select True) if you want site visitors to be able to send information about their business to your CMS users in order to publish their business on your website
  • This is on (True) by default when your website goes live
• Disable this if you do not want submissions

Business Directory Site Administrator Email-

Explanation and Value Options- This value defines the business directory site administrator email. A link to this email will be included in any business submission.

Meaning- 

• This is the email address that will be notified by the CMS when someone Submits their business to you to Publish it
  • webmaster@govaccess.org is the default email address

• The Business Directory Is useful for presenting Local Businesses on your website
• Organize them as "Local Favorites" "Dog Friendly" "Locations still open during COVID-19" by building Categories
• Provide:
  • Business Name 
  • Business Address
  • Phone
  • Fax
  • Email
  • Web URL
  • Business Hours
  • A thumbnail picture of the business
  • A complete description of the business and what it means to your community
• Business Owners can even provide this content to you and you can publish it for them on the site
  • "Have a Business? Submit Your Business Online"

• You don’t want to be responsible for updating this content regularly
